Townsend Community Center
 
 

Townsend Community Center provides an after school program, and a summer program for youth.  It also offers an open gym for young adults as well as an adult pottery class. Townsend Center also offers English as a second language classes in conjunction with the AMIGOS organization.

Our tenants include Head start, WIC, Minority Health Coalition and the Galileo Charter School. Our building is rented out for parties, dances, concerts, meetings, dinners, programs, tournaments, etc. We have several groups that meet here on a regular basis. We have a very diverse clientele of ethnicity not just primarily African American. Our by line is "Still here, Still serving, Still needing you!

Free  Zumbatomic classes for children ages 4 to 14 held every Tuesday and Thursday from 4:30 - 5:15

Adult Zumba classes $3.00 a session every Tuesday and Thursday 5:30-6:30 pm
